The city is enrobbed in murals on walls of various businesses and also has other museums such as the Pontiac Oakland auto museum. The center of downtown is the old Courthouse which is very beautiful.
Definitely a town to visit!

Pontiac... not just a car
Pontiac, Illinois is one of my favorite cities on Route 66. They have done a great job in revitalizing the city as a tourist destination. The Route 66 Museum is very nice with lots of memorabilia including a very interesting land yacht. I'll tell you more about that later.
