The Painted Desert

On the Arizona border is a place called Window Rock.  It was a beautiful park dedicated to the memory of the Code Talkers.  A large rock formation with a hole in the center hovers over the park on a cliff.  The pictures did not turn out.  I will post one later.

The next stop was the Painted Desert.  The sea of hills and valleys painted in rich, colorful hues was breathtaking.  The park had many lookout points to absorb the beauty.
