Polk-a-Dot Drive In

I loved the Polk-a-Dot Drive In so much last year that I had to stop this year.  It is a typical greasy spoon that has a long history on Route 66; however, they take advantage of the past by decorating with vintage flare.

I even caught myself saying that I had to visit Elvis before we left.  The girl's restroom walls are totally covered in pictures of Elvis including a door-size poster.  The men's restroom is covered in Marilyn, but I did not go in to take pictures.  :-)

Outside the restaurant are life-size statues of some of our favorite entertainers.

We even met a lady named Pat who took a picture of us and invited us to join a Route 66 travel group.  There are friendly people all along the route.
