My First Truck Stop

I admit it.  I have never been to a truck stop before.  I could not pass up the opportunity to see Dixie in McClean.  It began in 1928 and was the original home of the Route 66 Hall of Fame.

The store was like a convenient store times four.  Memorabilia was posted throughout.  There was also plenty of Route 66 items for sale.

The only strange part was walking down the hallway of showers.  Weird to know people were taking showers.
